Do like the locals and take a stroll though Herne Hill market and grab yummy treats from crepes to vegan curries. The vibe is chilled out, gastronomic window shopping. There is fresh fruit and veg, just baked bread and beautiful hand made chocolates.
The food looks and smells amazing and it is hard to resist giant croissant and cured salami. (more…)
Brixton, sitting proudly at the end of the Victoria Line embraces its unapologetically unpolished reputation.
Evolving from a site of controversy, (see iconic Clash song, ‘Guns of Brixton), it has steadily grown into the place to be. Homespun culture, pop up bars and bustling markets make Brixton a mecca.
The neighbourhood’s energy emanates from Electric Avenue to the art galleries, music venues, and bars. (more…)
Absolutely Fashion: Inside British Vogue, a documentary shown on the BBC just last year skipped all the usual Ab Fab clichés and instead portrayed an authentic Conde Nast machine. The one stand out, however, was Lucinda Chambers, Vogue’s Fashion Director. I went along to meet Lucinda last night, and listened as she chatted about her creative process, Vogue’s influence and of course fashion.
