Happy Easter to you all!
I love this time of year. The clocks change, the nights get lighter and Spring is finally here.
I am enjoying a lovely long weekend at home and Easter is the perfect time to do some baking. These very naughty, very easy Cream Egg brownies are the perfect thing to take to any Easter party.
Now these brownies aren’t just any old treat! With a layer of cookie dough, Oreos, brownie and for that seasonal significance, topped with gooey Cream Eggs they are very cheeky but super simple to make.
You will need the following ingredients:
2 cheats pack of cookie mix
1 pack of Oreos
6 Cream Eggs
And for the Brownies:
2oz of unsweetened chocolate
4oz of butter
2 eggs, beaten
8oz of granulated sugar
2oz plain flour
1 level teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Okay so now we are equipped with all our yummy ingredients, let’s get baking!
Line your baking tray with paper, make up the cookie dough and spread this across the tray.
Layer this with Oreos.
Now for the Brownies…
Melt the butter and chocolate together in the top of a double saucepan. Then simply stir in all the remaining ingredients, spread the mixture across the tray.
Halve your Cream Eggs, length ways with a sharp knife and place these on top.
Place in the oven and bake for 30 mins at gas mark 4 (350F) (180C).
When they are done place on the side to cool. After 10 minutes cut into squares and serve.
